Puncture repair kit
My 2016 F-Type convertible has a flat tire repair kit instead of a spare wheel. If I use the kit, can I re-use the tire after the puncture is fixed?

Usually not as it's damn near impossible to remove the goop from the inside of the tyre.
You are better off with a plug kit, I have a Stop N Go kit same as this one: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/13550302...1Z4NNB18MJMWH4
Works great, used it twice so far with zero problems, but remember it's only for simple nail/screw punctures in the middle of the tread and nowhere near the sidewall.

Thanks OzXFR for that, I didn't think so. My cylinder is also out of date by 5 years, I doubt if I could get one in NZ. I have lined up a generic aerosol one that I would use in emergency. They say it doesn't ruin the tire.
I am also going to get a spare wheel, jack and wheel brace and leave it at home. Someone can bring it to me if I need it. NZ is only a small country. I can do that for less than a tire costs.

I run with the stock spare tyre (a skinny space saver) removed from the car and sitting in my garage, as it takes up way too much space in the hatch/trunk/boot even in my coupe let alone in a 'vert (you don't say if your F-Type is a coupe or a 'vert).
Some seven years ago now I had a blowout on the freeway, tyre completely shredded, so I phoned my daughter to get her mother (my ex-wife) to collect the spare from my garage and bring it to me. After a couple of hiccups she rocked up two hours later with the spare, easily fitted and away I went. I took the wheel with the ruined tyre still on it to my local tyre shop a couple of days later and had a new tyre fitted. Lucky it was a front not a rear as a front wheel/tyre combo just fits in the hatch of a coupe but a rear combo is too wide and the hatch won't close over it.
Thanks for the feedback. Yep, mine is a convertible so the boot is miniscule. My daughter gave me her jack and tools from her Ford Ranger, (same size wheel nuts), (she carries a trolley jack.
I will buy a nice black mag wheel with the same size tire and the fronts. So I will be completely street legal with no speed restriction. NZ800 bucks, well worth it.
You watch, I will never use it, but good insurance.

I don't know if it's available in NZ, but here is the replacement goo I got when my original bottle went out of date:
Note to others: Check your dates.

Thank you Uncheel. I tracked down a Airman stockist here in NZ and will follow it up. They sell new kits, at the worst I will buy a new kit. Not overly expensive either.
Thanks for your help.

A very impressive comparison of four types of repair kits.

I had a blowout on the A6 recently and ended up using tyres stockport, and it saved me a ton of hassle. They came out fast, sorted the replacement on the spot, and even checked my alignment so I didn’t chew through the new tyre straight away. If you’re stuck or just trying to sort tyres without losing half a day, they’re worth a look.
I bought a JLR F jack and a breaker bar and wheel nut socket to put in the storage space below the trunk floor in my coupe. Also bought the Airman bottle, and yes, it's been awhile so I should check that date, too. In addition I have a tire plug kit back there. Been thinking about the spare wheel idea, but when I need it, I'd probably be way too far from home to make fetching it feasible. Haven't had a flat in years, but did have a slow leak in one of the Fs rear tires. Was able to get the wheel off and to local tire repair. Best to be prepared for what you DON'T want to have happen.
