Default Question on Battery Tender

I often put the Battery Tender on my 2018 F type R this Spring because I haven’t been driving it much with this miserable and constant rain we’ve been experiencing in the NE USA. I saw where my dealer had some of his showroom F types hooked up with B. T.’s in the Battery located in the trunk. The Owners Manual talks about jumping this car under the hood, at a location near the engine. I also have heard that this car has 2 batteries, which surprised me....never saw a second battery. Just where is the correct location for the Battery Tender hook up? Is the trunk location OK? Thanks!

The trunk is fine for connecting the battery tender. And, I'd make the suggestion of getting an extra pigtail to leave permanent connected to the battery. That makes it easy to use periodically while leaving the tender complete at other times. Your 2018 will have only one battery - it's the earlier MY's (like mine) that have a separate, smaller battery for Start/Stop.
(For those who have the duel battery, connect the tender to the larger one. See the "How To" sticky for pictures.)

Another way to connect a battery tender is to use the charging posts in the engine bay. You can also permanently connect a pigtail lead to those posts to make charging a simple "plug and play", see posts 48 to 56 in this thread https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...stions-153350/

I prefer attaching a pigtail to the battery in the trunk as mentioned earlier
