Default Quiescent Relay Fusebox

This is part # C2D23644. There is a relay integral to the fusebox near the battery that shuts off the infotainment system if the battery management system feels that the battery is low. This relay tends to stick closed. In my case, it took 20 minutes after I turned on my car for the touch screen and all functions to turn on. Once on, it worked fine for the rest of the day. You cannot replace just the relay but the fusebox is about $150. Online. It’s plug and play. It’s possible that if this relay is stuck on, it could drain the battery.

If your bad one is removed, could you show a picture of it (with the relay arrowed)?

The relay is integral to the fusebox. You need to replace entire fusebox. It may be possible to disassemble the fusebox and replace the relay with a generic relay but I did not try to do this.

Thanks, but as you said, you need to take the cover off and take a picture of the 'guts'. That way we could see if the relay was replaceable at less cost.

There are two 50 cent micro relays. I will check which one is defective. I spent $30 for used fusebox from eBay from a wrecked 2015 coupe.

Are those white relays (marked B) soldered-in or do they plug in?

Nevermind, I found that they solder in. Only $2.71 each.

Hopefully this will help other owners in the future!! Contact information at the bottom of the page below, in Chicago USA and Leeds in the UK.

These are interesting relays. Biphasic latching relays. Can latch on or off. Also the fact that there is one for + and one for - gives a great deal of flexibility. You can shut off all components run from this fuse box by latching off the + relay but latch off only those that don’t have their own grounding by latching off the - relay. So major power users and minor power users separately.

According to my sources generic B1412 is "Driver Power Window Motor Circuit Short To Battery". I have no idea if Jaguar has a diferent meaning for it.

Good afternoon! Tell me, were you able to solve the problem? I have exactly the same problem, and the same car

System SOS is the battery pack in the telecommunications system. It is replaceable. There is a little door held by a screw. Once you replace the battery that message goes away. Don’t know about the other thing.

The telematics module. You will have to search the location for your car. I am not familiar with your car.
