Worth a try on the module reset but sounds like that's not the issue. Unfortunately prob a trip to the dealer to diagnose.

Just to close out this issue, problem solved, all be it not cheaply! It was the MOST amplifier J, part number T2R24114. It communicates with all the functions. It was replaced and all working without losing any previously programmed stations and navigation points, etc.
Unfortunately the part cost $1809.99 plus $375.22 labor!!!! It would have been close to $500 more in diagnosting charges, but there was a mistake in billing that they let it go. Still $2393.28!
So, thanks to all that extended helpful hints!!
