Default Rare F Type Configuration?

I ordered my third F type a few weeks ago. A 2017 R coupe, IRR with a camel interior, camel seatbelts, all options except the black pack (I like bright trim) and carbon fiber roof (I like light). Three months to land in Manitoba. I had the build ordered by my dealer before Jaguar changed the on-line build page from 2016 to 2017. Interestingly, I was able to order a panoramic roof with the extended leather interior option. Once the on line build page was up for 2017 (around two weeks ago), that combination was not available (at least in Canada); to get the extended leather pack, the carbon fiber roof needs to be added. My dealership confirmed my build; so I may have a rare configuration (maybe?...would be interested to hear if any one else was able to do that).

I think it may just be an error in the configurator. When I was looking at 2016s nearly every R had extended leather and panoramic roof.

The configurator is not always up to date or correct.

Dashboard, doorpanels, pillars, sunvisors and headliner is all wrapped in leather rather than the standard fabric/vinyl.

Actually it's only the headliner. On the R models everything else is already leather.

In the OPs case I would get Alcantara headliner. I think it is better anyway. Leather headliner is cool if you have lots of stitching detail to make it obvious it is leather, But without that it looks mostly moulded. The Alcantara is richer in my opinion.

Forgot he was ordering an "R". For me I got the extended leather pack on my base which added everything I listed.

Just confirming that extended leather and panoramic sunroof are definitely available together - my 2016 V6S has both. With the Camel/Jet interior, its an excellent combo.

I went with the alcantara headliner with glass roof

You do get some visible stitching with the leather roof around the glass roof opening, but with cf roof prob not

Yeah the Alcantara looks superb as a headliner.

Consumer facing *&* Dealer facing configurator is *SO* buggy. I had to audit my build 4 times, correcting errors, prior to delivery. I would have been so unhappy if their faulty tech impacted my build.
