Default Seatbelt bell

Hello to all, I have a 2011 XJL, I wanted to ask. If there a way to turn off the
Seatbelt Bell/Ding is there a way to turn it off, I use my belts but the ding, ding, ding, I always have it turned off on all my vehicles. Can it be done?

Zach, yes it can as I have turned it off in mine. Get into the car and buckle yourself in. Start the car and leave it in Park. After the engine has settled down (come to idle), unbuckle and then rebuckle the seat belt like 10 times quickly (needs to be done in like 10 seconds). This will cause a warning chime to sound. When that happens, the seat belt minder has been turned off. If you want it turned on again, simply repeat the process and the dinger will be turned back on.

Thanks! Thermo, will try that.

Funny thing is I asked at the dealer, I was told you can't. Shows what they know.

I seriously doubt if a servicing dealer can legally turn off a mandatory "safety" feature.

Service dealer doesn't want to make it, in this case needs to get engineering code from JLR HQ.
