I have a CPO 2011 XF Premium (V8 5L) , that I am looking to sell to get myself a 2012-2014 XJ. The car has really low miles (~29700) and has warranty through June 2017.

My question right now is around pricing the XF for sale - The KBB "Private Party" value comes to around $26K , but that obviously doesnt include the "CPO" value in it. How much of a premium should be attributed to the 16 months / 70k miles of remaining the CPO warranty ?

Depends on what that warranty covers. U can get a pretty nice warranty for $1000-$1500 I would think. But I would not put much value in a 16 mo warranty if I was a buyer. I would want it thrown in got nothing. Give the buyer a little assurance abou buying an unknown used car.

 

Where you live can affect the price of your car as well as closest servicing dealer.

But there is a great tool at NADA

Forget about KBB, their pricing is skewed in favor of the dealers.

Most banks use NADA for loan values so they know how much they can loan for a certain car.

You use the tool to get all the pricing.

If you / any of your friends are interested, please let me know. The car is in great condition , and already has most of the usual 2011 XF issues fixed by the dealership proactively already.( dashboard warping , sunroof rattle, new tires, new brakes)
