Did you check for issues on the Forum before you bought it?

I have read most of the issues listed on various threads.

Sorry to hear about your glitches , some problems you mentioned should be related to battery as well . Roof popping is the most common issue from what I see

Sorry to hear about all those problems otter1--sounds like a major electrical issue. There certainly seems to be a broad range of experiences with this car. The only problem I have had in 12,000 miles and 13 months of ownership with a very early VIN car is the roof popping that was fixed permanently in the first couple of months. No overheating or A/C problems even in the horrible heat wave of 100+ degree days we are having here in Houston (they did add some freon when I took it in for the 10,000 mile service, but it was still cooling okay).

Wow! You look like you've had every problem none! I did have the air conditioner/overheating and that was due to the engine cooling fan going out. They replaced it and it's fine for now. I will say also that last night while driving the Tire Sensor Default warning came on (big yellow triangle) and I had never seen that before but it "fixed" itself and hasn't come on since.........

I know my tire pressure monitoring system is working fine because I have a small nail in my left rear tire causing a slow leak and about every 2 weeks I get a warning about that tire--as soon as I add air the warning goes away.

I did get the tire pressure monitoring system fault warning once too, but it reset after I turned off the car and let it sit overnight. It was really hot that day and I wonder if that affected the system. I see you're in Orlando, so that might be your problem as well.

Sorry to hear about your issues Otter. On a positive note, it looks like you're taking care of the majority of the glitches quickly, so it should be smooth sailing going forward. When I bought my M5 years ago, the first three months it was in the shop. Electrical glitches out the wahzoo. After that...not a thing went wrong for the next three years until I sold it. And the guy I sold it to has had it for three years since, and he hasn't had a problem either. Just thought I'd spread some positive energy your way.
