Hi everyone....Long time active member of the various Porsche 997 Turbo, Boxster S, and Cayenne S forums, but first post here. Recently acquired a F-Type R V8 and liking it so far!

One issue I had that I thought I would share as it may help others, was a rattle (like metal bumping), coming from what appeared to be the dash, behind the glove box. It would rattle every
time I drove it and drove me nuts. As I started looking in to it, I found that there are two u type bolts/fasteners where the hood enters the latch on either side. By turning the adjusting nut
a couple of turns (to shorten it) and screwing the rubber stop out a bit, the hood is solid and secure...And fixed the problem.

So if you have a rattle that sounds like it is coming from the dash, check to see if your hood/bonnet is closing properly and tight.
