My 2018 Jaguar F-Type R is not recognizing my fob to start engine, all other features are working fine. I have to place the fob on the indentation under the buttons for opening the hatch to start the car, otherwise all is good. The battery has been replaced/tested? I can operate all functions on my key fob from the basement of my house but inside the car it will not start unless I place the key on the alternate location under the rear hatch buttons (that indentation).Has anyone experienced this issue and know what the problem is?

 

I experienced something similar. Keyless entry stopped working only on the passenger side. The problem was that some rodent chewed on the wires to the passenger side sensor. I doubt that's the issue for you though, since there appear to be two transmitters in the cabin. It looks like one is at the front of the center console, the other at the rear.

 

We had that on our Land Rover once. Same keyless system. Battery disconnect, wait 30s and reconnect and all worked again. Worth a shot?
