Default question on the struts

Are the same rear hatch struts used throughout the age-range of Fs?? if so, would you be able to post the part number(s) ? Difficulty in obtaining the correct REAR strut, as opposed to the front hood/bonnet strut was mentioned above in this thread.
Sounds like you have a good shop to work with, that's probably more than half the battle. ... and under warranty... always a good thing!

My invoices list JLR part number T2R68844 for both right and left rear struts.
The technician also replaced the left actuator, T2R223875 (twice) and replaced the tailgate control module, T2R21150.
I don't know if all powered rear hatch F coupes use the same struts. I bet they do.

Unfortunately, my hatch struts went out after the warranty expired. That's why I'm looking into doing this myself with the help of my Jaguar brothers and sisters.

At least I have spare front struts for when the current ones decide to retire on me.

Default Oh hurt me

Looked up the strut part number and OMG... gotta hope mine don't go bad anytime soon!

2014-2024

control module:

This part number T2R223875 seems to be a bracket rather than the Left Actuator:

https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic...-mounting.html Perhaps part # 8 as shown?????

Right? There's no reason for it to be that expensive. I think they price them that much because they can't make profits on their low volume of sales.

OMG these panels are so damn hard to remove! I have been trying for a 30 minutes and got nowhere.

My problem is with my bad luck, removing panels will break things that I can't fix or will cost more money and time to fix.

Okay, after a couple of hours (maybe more) of carefully muddling through it all, I finally got the panels off and the module installed. It worked! I am so damn happy that I finally got it completed. The part cost about $50.

So the panels were the hardest part of the project. Once I removed all the compartments, flat panels, battery cover and the hatch panel (?), the final panels were the hard plastic rear panel (the one with the emergency release handle) and the driver side panel that covers the modules. I carefully popped out the tabs from the compartments panels and side panel, then popped out the rear panel which needed force, and then a plastic trim piece on top of the side panel.

I got the module and tested it, but it wasn't working. Then I realized that I needed to disconnect the negative battery post. Once I did that and plugged in the module, then connected the battery again, the hatch worked!

Here are some photos for you all.

Forgot to add the link to another forum thread regarding the panel removal process, which helped me get through this project.
