Howdy all.. I have a 2022 (not an R), I noticed that some "R" have this middle section, others do not. I thought it was an "R" exclusive piece, doesn't seem so.

Anyhow... is this piece available or do I need to buy the whole lower valance?

What is this piece called?

 

It is called a Rear Diffuser. They are on SVR's prior to 2020, and I think standard on R's post 2020. Here is a link where I added one to my pre 2020 R.

As Rock88 mentioned, it is a rear diffuser, OEM on previous model SVR's and the new R. Unfortunately, it is not as simple as just adding this lower piece. I know, as I have one on my car. The standard rear diffuser does not have the ability to mount the center piece and unless you found one used, you cannot order it separately, it comes as a single unit. Part number is T2R20874 and is called the "under cover". Problem is going to be availability. At the time I purchased mine, it was around $950 plus shipping (after a lot of price shopping) and I was told it was one of the last ones available (2021). Fast forward to today, I think they are available again but the last time I checked the price, they were north of $1400 now.

Here is my 2016 R with it installed. I did eventually sell the OEM diffuser on ebay for a few hundred too, so that helped offset the cost.
