Default Remote unlock

I have a 2015 F Type. When it is sitting out on a rainy day the fob will not unlock the door. No problem after a car wash. The dealer could not find a problem but I suspect it is a sensor . Needless to say that trying to open the door with the key when it is raining is an aggravation plus this sets off the alarm as well. Any help would be appreciated

Do you not have passive unlock? Is it possible that your remote is getting wet when raining?

Perhaps the fob battery is getting weak? I had to replace mine this spring.

Does it happen with both fobs (assuming you have two)? If not, then I'd second the battery suggestion.

Here are the antenna locations for the fob in the convertible. If you have a coupe, should be listed in the maintenance section of your manual. Don't know if this of help, but maybe try cleaning around #2 & #4 if they're excessively dirty?

Unhnged- what do you mean by 'passive unlock'?

Can you walk around the car, to see if it will unlock from a specific location/direction?

Wonder if Unhingd is referring to keyless entry? Push a little button on the door handle, and it unlocks and the handle pops out, assuming the key fob is within range.

Just tried the keyless entry as described in the manual. Did not open the door. Does not allow the door to lock when closed either. May be on to something here

BTW I tried different locations and distances and works fine. Only happens when the car sits in the rain.

If you haven't done so already change the batteries in the fobs. The batteries in both fobs for my 2014 died within a few days of each other and one was never used. The spare one died a few days after I started using it because the first one died.

Worth a try since it is easy and cheap. Waiting for rain to try these suggestions. Thanks all
