Confusing title, but linked post has lots of useful info on rear hatch top panel removal, See --> Hatch Panel Removal

I just looked for information on this because I know I've done it, but can't find anything. I went out and looked at my car though, and as I recall it's just four fasteners to remove the panel between the hatch and the roof.

Open the hatch and you'll see at the outer edges a plastic cover on each side. Pop that loose and you'll see the fasteners. There are two nuts each side on threaded posts that are part of the panel where the antenna pod (shark fin) mounts. There is some sealer around the perimeter but it's the non-hardening type.

I remember a recess below it for a bowtie antenna, but that's probably for some market other than NA. I considered removing the pod, filling the hole, then wrapping the panel, but that notion was quickly discarded. I don't use navigation very often but didn't want to give it up for the minor aesthetic improvement.
