Default Antenna travel

How is the antenna up/down travel adjusted?
I just had a local (non-Jag) shop install a replacement antenna it won't fully extend/retract.
Any clues?

Thanks.

Spray with a little WD40 and operate it several times then wipe off the residue and do it again and see if it improves the operation. When you are done remove the residue of the WD40 from the antenna mast.

I believe that a dab of lithium-based white grease is a better lubricant for this particular application. I've used it for decades on all of our power antennas and never had a problem....

That may be true but the WD40 will clean the gunk that is preventing the full travel up and down.
