Removing Side Skirts
I just received the proper CF wrap that I ordered and really wanted to remove the side skirts to make wrapping them easier.
I got down and looked under the car for the first time, and low and behold... There are no bolts visible...
Anyone know how the side skirts are attached and how they are removed? I assume there are a few bolts or screws and probably a few clips hidden down there somewhere.
Thanks in advance for any info!

Oh, I am pretty sure I CAN wrap them with them still attached. It's just so much easier wrapping things when you aren't confined to small spaces. Wrapping the edges is also much easier when you have extra room to work.
I found a post where an owner stated:
"I just replaced one. While the cost for the part is 400, it's not as simple as you'd think to add. The bolts are blocked by the paneling under the car, so you have to pull all that before you can replace the skirt"
I was of the same mindset, remove and then wrap. After trying both ways, do not remove the side skirts to wrap! It is a real PITA to remove the skirts and it is very easy to wrap the side skirts with them on the car. Leave a little on the top edge for the tuck in and you get a very high quality look.
Helicopter tape! Helicopter tape!

(Oh, and what *is* helicopter tape?)

Its a 3M brand clear protective tape, similar to paint protection film material, but probably quite a bit thicker. You can see where Jag are using it - rock chip area.
Ah, yes. I know exactly what that is. I got some originally for my motorcycles but keep it handy for other miscellaneous uses. It's quite tough.
Hmmm... Something to look at: can I adjust the position of the panel so that it better aligns with the doors...
I'd let the dealer do it. It's under warranty.
