Renewing Incontrol—sigh
Hi all wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue that I am having, as it reminds me of Lucas electronics for the 21st Century.
Call 1
My InControl subscription for my 2016 was close to expiring so I called JLR USA to renew as I hadn’t heard from anyone about renewing. I was told to wait until the subscription expired as they could not locate my account. The thinking was the renewal emails were “stuck” in the JLR system.
Ok so I waited… 3 weeks later….
Call 2
Once the expiration expired, with nothing from JLR I called back and was told my account would need to be reset with a different email address and to wait 1-24hrs for the account to reset.
Call 3
After waiting 24hrs called back and this time was told the account was not reset on the administrator site and was performed from this call and now I should wait another 24hrs for the account to reset, if it does not reset to call back again. Anyone want to take bets on what will happen next?
My suspicion is no one knows what is going on and I am simply punted to the next “tech” after 24hrs….has anyone had the same experience with InControl renewal? Why is this so hard to do?

Well sometimes it all works out! I called again, told JLR this was unacceptable and something needs to be done. They created a ticket and woola within an hour it was resolved, with a free year of InControl!
