How can I confirm that a hard reset was successful? If my driver seat still holds its memory settings can I assume that the hard reset did not work? I am guessing all modules memory should be cleared?

 

I could be wrong, but I would speculate that some things are not wiped by the hard reset. I have never done a "hard reset" exactly but my battery was disconnected for 9 weeks when I was working on swapping out the supercharger, and when I hooked everything back up I still had radio presets and seat memory

Ok found it. Unhook battery cables- touch them together to do a hard reset of the computer.

After reset my Jag will rev to about 2K rpms when first started. It will settle down after a minute or so. It's funny the seat and steering wheel presets aren't lost but they only come back after it's been shut down once. Radio presets are fine.
