I recently purchased a 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR with a cracked side skirt. I wasn't worried about it at the time because I got a pretty good deal and was going to replace it using a Carbon Fiber side skirt extension. I did all the research I could on this forum, but when I took the side skirt and rocker panel off, I realized that they were one piece unlike many referenced in the posts. From everything I saw, the two parts were bolted together and you had to remove them from the car in order to separate them. I was alright doing this until I found out that was not an option - mine are one piece.

So, my question is, Do certain cars have a 1-piece molded rocker/side skirt and others have a 2-piece rocker/side skirt that is bolted together? If so, how do I determine which cars have what so that I can repair it correctly?

 

My 2018 SVR is 1 piece!
