Default San Jose British Motors/Land Rover San Jose have merged

Heads up for Bay Area members who may not know but the local RR and Jag dealers have just merged and centralized operations at was the SJBM location. They merged as of last Monday.

Took my car in for a service this morning and the old RR guys are now manning the service desks. The increase in service quality is already noticeable, the RR guys always do/did a great job, better than the service I tended to get from the prior SJBM team. I don't know if those guys are still on the scene.

Couple of asides. On the drive to the dealership I was behind a white XKR - what a beautiful car. Still a head turner after all these years. And the stereo in the loaner XF I got sounds so much better than it does in my F. I think it's the same system in both cars.

Right, that's the one. It's the prior LR location (a few blocks further up Stevens Creek) that's the one that's going to close. First clue when I pulled up at 7:30 am this morning was a ton of Land Rovers and Range Rovers in the service parking area!

Interesting. They need a better showroom. The Stevens Creek Jaguar dealership looks old, aging. Most of the dealerships on Stevens Creek look much better.

In terms of the quality of work they do, how is their service department?
I tried to get an appointment and they were booked for two weeks. Is that how they normally are?

Most definitely! The new Smythe wing made me want the Maserati GT even though it was not at all what I was looking for!
Even the Porsche dealer is remodeling!

Default Wondered

I'd heard they were merging and we called and left a message for a repair (My eco mode is acting up) and they never called back. That likely explains why.
