Scheduled brake line replacements
My year-six annual service comes due soon for my 2020 P300 convertible, whose original in-service date was late April 2019. This next service is the first I'll have to pay for as last year's year-five service was the final complimentary one under original warranty. According to the "Passport to Service" schedule, all brake lines are to be replaced at year six.
Anyone familiar with the reason complete replacement is specified by JLR? I can understand why brake fluid replacement is an every-three-years item, but are the hoses/lines really likely to fail so early in the car's life?
I've owned other vehicles well beyond 10 years previously, without ever encountering a service schedule calling for brake line replacements. What'd be so different about an F-Type? Can anyone who's had this job done quote a typical JLR-versus-indy charge for all-new brake lines?
BTW, my F-Type is what'd be called a garage queen, with little more than 10,000 miles on the clock so far, and fewer than 2,000 miles since last year's oil change.

That does not sound right, I have never heard of scheduled brake line replacement on any modern Jag as they all use braided stainless steel brake lines which last forever.
"Passport to Service" is just a ***** renaming of the service schedule and again no F-Type service schedule I have seen mentions replacing the brake lines. Instead they all say "check brake lines and hoses...." and "replace brake fluid every three years".
Maybe the four potter is different but I don't see why it should be, unless JLR cheaped out on it and went to rubber brake lines.
Or else someone somewhere somehow has mixed up "check" with "replace".

Or does rubber inside the SS braid begin to deteriorate with age, and JLR became more cautious by 2020?
Gotta be a desperate JLR money grab.
They have form in this area with JLR dealerships almost always insisting that every time the brake pads need renewing the discs/rotors should also be renewed, where we know for sure that the discs almost always last for at least two sets of pads.
In both cases they will claim it's all for saaaaaafety but we know this is BS.

This is not my Ftype… but I believe my 12 XKR has the same brake lines….. my right front blew while on a rack looking for an exhaust leak lol…. Wildest thing ever. Car had 130k+ miles and was 13 yrs old. We replaced both fronts at that time not cheap!
