Default scuff / inner sill not seated properly.

Hi.

My passenger side plastic scuff plate doesn't seem to be seated properly. It's fully clipped down, all 6 clips are present but seems to be rocked towards the interior of the car so that the outer edge is a bit too high and sits above the door weatherstrip along its entire length (on the drivers side it tucks nicely underneath). Taking the scuff plate off, the aluminium runner it clips into has some movement, it looks like it is held down with plastic trim fasteners. It's as though the whole thing needs pulling down or something is keeping it up at an angle along it's length.

Maybe this is normal? Car is a MY19 Coupe. I know I'm being picky but any information about how I could seat it properly would be very gratefully received. Here's a not very good picture.

I had a similar problem with the driver's side sill plate on my old XFR.
It turned out that one of the guide tangs at the front end was turned under and stopping the plate from sitting flat.
Cut it off and no more problem.
You should pull the plate off again and check that all tangs and clips are flat and none are bent or twisted.
