Default Ordering a new F type vert

Jaguar has $499 coups and $549 verts on a national ad but they are nonexistent on dealer lots. How long is the process for ordering a 2020 f type convertible the dealer said I can order a national add car but I'm not so sure. I was wondering how long the build time plus the boat trip takes thanks

I ordered my F-type R Coupe in August. It arrived Christmas eve. I'm on the east coast so shipping times may be shorter than for those in California.

A new F-Type is on the production line for about 2 weeks and then in transit to the US east coast another 3 weeks. The majority of the lead time is just fitting the car into the production queue. That could take months.

Can you please explain that a little better . My dealer has an allocation for an F Type for me. Are there constraints on those cars affecting production? Also are those cars in production yet. I would like to get into a car by July 31 do you think that is doable.

Avoid ordering 4-cyl F-type.

Obviously price difference.
The 4 cylinder will be more relevant in Europe because of engine displacement taxes. Like Harry and Meghan, you can have your cake and eat it too

And dont forget, the 4 cylinder has now this famous exhaust sound through loudspeakers, a fake that you should not buy.

In fairness, forum members with P300s seem to universally like them.

Well, they have to say that, don't they!
In their defence, it's still the same gorgeous looking car, and for most (sensible) users the 4-pot is plenty enough power.

The allocation slot could be scheduled for several months hence. Yes, July 31 is quite doable.High-volume dealers will have earlier allocation slots.
