I would have gotten white but I was looking to install PPF and was concerned it would show some yellowing of the PPF material over time. That is literally the only reason I’m not driving a white F-Type R right now.

I have the red interior, which looks great with the Eiger grey, but that really pops with the white I find.

Slip, I like the Union Jack addition and it looks nice on the white exterior and gives the side profile a little pop. I think I'll order a set and will place them where your lower F-Type silhouette badge is seeing that pre 2024 models have nothing in that spot.

I printed those on a cricut machine and stuck them on. I have a set of higher quality ones on the way. I agree, it's a nice look.

Most of my cars are silver, so I love yours. There was a 2023 car in silver two years ago that I *almost* bought.. Then last May I saw the Fuji white in the showroom and had to have it since I missed out on the silver the prior year. Both are marvelous.

I'm still likely to get the tune. The car was made for it and why leave power on the table... plus the other options you mentioned... i appreciate the feedback!

Can’t agree more. Looks good on the white having that there, and I think it would work even better in the location you are thinking. I was thinking of installing one of those Union Jack sticker things under the rear spoiler so it shows when it deploys or whatever…There is a nice subtle grey one that would work pretty well with my car I think. Someone posted a pic of their white car with a full colour Union Jack sticker under the rear spoiler. It really worked well, but I don’t think the Eiger grey would pull it off…I’d have to go with the more subtle one I think…

This Eiger Grey is fine during the day, but it looks absolutely amazing at dusk. It’s hard to describe and can’t be caught on camera (I’ve tried). It’s very interesting, it’s like it has purplish hues going on or something. I had the car for some time before I even noticed it. I happened to be washing it later in the day one time and looked back at the car and saw it. In that way it’s not your average grey. I’m pretty pleased with it for sure, and it works with Mars Red and Ebony interior very well.

It'll work with silver/grey:

Yeah, in that case I think it would be fine, but what I was referring to was this very loud and proud one below ;-0 To me the white can do it, but for me it wouldn’t work out as well with my grey…My opinion only of course…

This is the set I ordered and they are .02 of an inch in thickness which is similar to the current F-Type badges.

This would look awesome with Elger Grey!

Yeah, I really like the expanse/size of the “loud and proud” one I linked above. If I could get that exact same one, but with a colour scheme like you just posted, that would be perfect in MY mind…

As far as a readily available product that I like, this is the specific one I had in mind…Decent size, subtle, etc —>

That would work great and I'd personally pick the black option because it would be a little more noticeable than the silver especially when you are passing other cars at 115 kilometers.

give the VAP folks a call. I heard they are willing to make a pop-n-bang tune only. That + the ASR exhaust module and you’ll have one spicy friendly neighbor maker . Good luck!

From what I gather there wouldn’t necessarily be a need to install an ASR if you are already in talks with Velocity AP for tune-level changes. They’re already in there making tweaks, so they could also probably provide a clean way to keep the valves fully open when you want. Pretty sure some on the forum have had them provide a solution for that as part of their tune…Thunderdump comes to mind.

For people like myself who are trying to keep the stock tune in place, well, the ASR is just what the doctor ordered.

Are you stock tune with just ASR? Would you mind checking to see if you hear a difference with ASR on + dynamic/flap control on while at idle?

Yeah, I have 2024 R that I bought pretty much explicitly to avoid the need for aftermarket tuning, as I knew the R would for sure be more than I need…Which it most certainly is…In reality I bet I would have been completely happy with a P450 power wise, but I just didn’t want to take the chance given my aversion to messing with aftermarket tuning…Certainly wasn’t interested in it during the warranty period, if at all…

So, yeah, stock tune… An ASR, or similar, was the only way for me to have the valves open all the time on demand (without pulling fuse 15 and having the apparent/confirmed risks that come with that). If I was aftermarket tuning with Velocity AP then I would for sure just have them deal with the valve control aspect of things as part of that work.

My car is still not out of winter hibernation yet, and it won’t be for another couple weeks while I do some exhaust work and a few other things, but I think I might know what you are referring to…

I think what you might be talking about is that small bit of fake exhaust noise that plays over the speakers of the car when you turn on dynamic? This has been discussed in other threads. It doesn’t really bother me because I’m typically driving with my windows open and only hear the real exhaust, but I recall others mentioning that this was bugging them etc…

Even if you have an ASR and tell it to have the valves completely closed at idle, you are gonna hear this sound (over the speakers) that I think you are referring to if hitting the dynamic mode.

That making some sense?

I had run out the garage after reading this. lol. I never enabled dynamic while sitting in the driveway until my wife did it a few weeks back. She apparently immediately puts in dynamic every time she borrows it

I might be one of a few that has a North American gsp catted car with ASR and a tune. There is more to it than just pops-bangs. Maybe it’s time to try to make a video
