I might be one of a few that has a North American gsp catted car with ASR and a tune. There is more to it than just pops-bangs. Maybe it’s time to try to make a video
I’m sure all kinds of people have valve controllers despite having tunes ;-0 The ASR is still a great product in its own right. Anyway, happy I could help ya figure your little puzzle there ;-0

Cheers man

@Portlander @DMeister I got the Union Jack badges in from Ali Express and they appear high quality and look great! The problem is that their ideal location is what you mentioned - where the silhoutte sits now... Since I'm not going to remove that, any thoughts on another spot?

I agree in that I personally wouldn’t remove the silhoutte badge that came on the car as part of the final year 75th anniversary theme etc…

One place that could perhaps make some sense would be on the back of the car? Pretty sure the back of your 75 P450 has no badges at all (maybe you could confirm for me)? This way it wouldn’t look cluttered at all with other badging…My R75 P575 has an R badge on the back just below the right rear tail light. Perhaps that same location for your Union Jack badge on your car could make sense?

Those are some of my thoughts, but this is obviously a very individual decision. My only plan for a Union Jack is under the spoiler ;-0

Cheers

I'm with DMeister. The next best place would be on the rear either where the F-Type badge normally goes (odd that Jaguar removed it for the 24 models) which would provide balance visually or maybe just to the left of your license plate which I've seen other owners place various emblems.

Am rethinking my options and may purchase the silhouette badges because I like them and place them in their appropriate location and add one of the Union Jacks in the center section of the interior just below the storage net and above the arm rest.

Not trying to pretend I have a 75th Anniversary edition and if the silhouette badge had an actual 75 marking I would not consider it. The extra Union Jack may find a home somewhere in the engine bay! Last note for Slip, I would not place your Union Jacks where you currently have the decals because it looks a little off kilter if that makes any sense.

You are correct, there are no badges on the 75. I appreciate your feedback! I need to think this through.

Ok, good feedback as well. I will ponder for some time before I do anything.

One other question for you all - My hood and vents are white. I was thinking of getting the vents wrapped black to break up the white a bit.. yes/no?

Yes, had my painted gloss black a few months ago and it really breaks up the long hood especially on a white or silver exterior without over doing it. Any reputable body shop can easily remove the vents and have them ready in a couple of days. My lower side skirts were wrapped in gloss black because removing them to be painted is a pain.

Another angle showing the hood scoops and side skirts.

Well, I mean, let’s be honest…What is different between your car and an “R75”? Beyond the supposed revised rear knuckles, the availability of the special final year Giola Green colour, and these silhouette things all over the place, I don’t think there is much…So, you have the “right” (lol) as much as anyone to have them stickers ;-)

That said, if it was ME I would stick with your original plan of putting a tastefully sized high quality Union Jack badge at that location down low there (where I have those silhouette badges). To me that would set your car off more, but my opinion only. Then you won’t get into awkward conversations about trying to be a R75 wannabe, etc…lol

To be honest, I’m half tempted to remove my silhouette badges in that location and replace them with a grey/black Union Jack badge I see is out there, but I won’t bother. I won’t mess too much with the stick R75 theme here…If I do anything, I’ll get my Union Jack jollies from the under-spoiler sticker business ;-o

I think it looks good on Portlander’s car for sure, but it’s not something I would personally bother with unless I ran out of things to do or something…I think it looks fine stock. My opinion only. My car is also fully PPFed, so that I’d like to leave well enough alone.

If I was to do it though I would probably paint them. I guess you could wrap them yourself as a trial run to confirm that you like it.

Have not received the Union Jacks yet so I have some time to decide but I really like the diminutive silhouette badges in that spot. Agree with you on the black hood scoops and if I had any color besides white and silver I would not have wasted time with the project but I feel it does improve the look of my hood.

I can’t just buy a car and drive it.. I have this perpetual need to customize it. I saw my car in the showroom last year and thought it was absolutely perfect. No way I would need to do anything to it and now, not even a year in and I’m itching to change something lol!

I did the shift paddles… they are great. The car is amazing.

Maybe I need to find a hobby.. oh wait, this IS my hobby 😁

So my Union Jack emblems arrived and the quality was outstanding. Changed my mind on placing them over the exterior paint and found two other spots that I felt were appropriate and easy to remove in the future if I were to ever sell the vehicle. Decided that the only items I feel comfortable placing on the exterior would be official Jaguar OEM items like the silhouette badges and placing them in the proper position.

@Portlander Yeah, they look great! Let's see if the one in the engine bay can take the heat.

Side note: I noticed on Ali Express they sell storage bins that take the place of the panel between the seats (where your badge is located) - Not sure of the depth but maybe could fit a phone in there or something...

Lol, you’re just like a good buddy of mine with his Aston Martin Vantage…Can’t stand still ;-o

I’m the complete opposite. Can’t wait to just have everything perfectly the way I want it, leave it alone, and enjoy.

Exhaust is going on this weekend, so I’m pretty pumped.

I’d personally not put that in the engine bay like that. Man, the heat is gonna create a mess of that adhesive. I can’t imagine that will go well. I think anyway…

Thanks and I was concerned with that possibility and I'm going to remove it just to be safe.

I’m over the moon happy with my decision to purchase it. Between it and the ASR valve controller I have installed, man, it has truly transformed the car…The best part is, none of it is “invasive” in that I could remove everything and go back stock with ease…

Cheers
