Wink She is back!

Good Evening All,

When I first got my car, the CEL light popped up and to make a long story short, the first two months of ownership were spent at the dealer. They had to get a new engine from the factory, which took time and then they had to install it.
I finally got my car back on Thursday of last week and I instantly fell in love again. The car drives like a dream and there seem to be no issues at all. The dealership and JLR have also been fantastic in this process. They covered two months of payments, gave me a 7Yr/100K mile warranty, 5Yr Wear and Tear Maintenance and All Weather Mats. Overall, I am happy with the way things turned out.

I am going to get my Dash Cam installed this weekend and get my radar hard wired and then I will be all set.

Btw, has anyone noticed their leather in the F Type becoming saggy? any possible remedies?

Thank you all

Did the dealer explain what went wrong with the engine?

I wonder if something was 'sat' on the seats during the dealer stay...

The JLR Rep told me there was a manufacture defect where the engine and transmission were not in sync with one another. The engine would not shift at the right times and would just keep redlining. My battery also had to be replaced.

They gave me a sheet with all the codes that were showing. If you guys want I can dig it up and let you know the codes for future reference.

Sounds more like a computer, tranny or sensor problem rather than an engine problem. I don't think they were leveling with you.
