Just took this screenshot from Grand Prix Originals USA Instagram page—gporiginalsusa—which I thought some of you might be interested in:
billyjracing wears Jeany’s gorgeous driving shoes all the time. And if they are good enough for him—a professional race car driver (in situations where FIA approved shoes are not a requirement) they’re good enough for me. A professional “nothing”.
This specific Top Gun Maverick Tom Cruise Jacket is a profound declaration of gallantry, courage, spirits, and sky-excessive passions. A top-best cowhide leather-based endorsement with a puffed-up composure like this one provides on your character charm. Also, it offers a uniquely ostentatious satin material gleam out of it, which gives a specific inexperienced colour poise to the only carrying it.
Driving shoes are not always a lame wannabe thing, especially in cramped cars like various Lotus models, with their 6"-wide foot wells. Sometimes we had to drive barefoot or in socks... The only issue I found (at least with the brand I bought) was that they didn't have 1/2 size increments so, being space constrained, got the next size smaller, so they aren't all that comfortable. As an aside, that's one huge benefit of mid-engine cars; there is no big transmission tunnel steeling all the foot space, but I digress.
Driving jacket, sure, why not, especially if it's a cold day. I have observed, however, that Corvette owners do it a lot more than any other make (at least in SoCal). A real flight jacket is very very nice, and very expensive, but is awesome even with no car brand on it.
Driving gloves, ugh... that's on par with parking one's F-type with the wing up, sort of reeking of "I was ignored as a child and shall not be ignored any longer, look at me!"
I'll be here all week, available for additional social commentary, thank you.

This is one of my favorite jackets to wear when I take my F Type out. NHRA safety rules require a fireproof jacket if you run below 11.49 seconds. I considered it a significant milestone when I went Stage 2 and after my first pass they told me I needed a jacket or I couldn't run any more. When this jacket comes out of the closet, I know I'm going to have some fun. 😀
