Show me your driving jackets.
I like, nah love, your style Matt. Wait a minute….that’s actually my style. Truth of it is I really did love wearing that coat. Super lightweight, warm and needless to say quite colorful.

And I suspect that you will love those driving shoes Steve. I wear mine all the time….including last night to dinner.

Too late, but even if I'd seen these before I don't think I'd have been persuaded to choose other than I did.
I wear my horsehide Aero when it gets chilly. After almost 4 years of daily winter wear, it's just now starting to soften up. It could stand up on its own when it was new.

Wear them in good health and good cheer Matt.
Best regards and to your better half.

Man you call yourself a driver and wear driving shoes but have no dead pedal in your car??
Come on and up your game!
Be sure it matches the factory brake and gas pedals too.
Jaguar #T2R11322. It has really come down in price. I paid $140 and now it's under $50!!

Actually, my shades are Persols and I have found that a pair of Sperry Topsiders makes for pretty good driving shoes. Especially since I wear size 11 and don't like any kind of clunky shoes or boots with big soles.
Each to their own but in my book jackets, gloves and other unnecessary layers of of clothing are a big no no with spirited driving of modern cars... regardless of weather because I park in warm dry places 99% of the time. Once got some very nice driving gloves as a gift but never used them. If I had some really old roadster with a wooden wheel a nice jacket, gloves, cap and maybe goggles would be nice though.
Shoes on the other hand are important but I'm struggling to find anything really good. My favourites are still some old suede Puma speedcats. Been looking at Sparcos and those GP shoes look really nice but they all seem way too thick and warm. Slick driving shoes in airy fabric would be ideal but haven't seen any yet.

That jacket in the photo that Thunder Dump posted looks like something that Kramer from the Seinfeld show would have invented. "Look Jerry, it's a combination sleeping bag and jacket. I call it a bagket. It's ideal for homeless people".
I saw an ad for some driving shoes but it said something to the effect that they were poor for walking and the soles would wear rapidly on pavement. Sounds way too specific of an application for me but I suppose if I were tracking the car I might invest in a pair. I remember a time when many cars had wooden steering wheels or skinny plastic rim steering wheels and driving gloves really did have a purpose. With the fat leather wheels on most of today's sports cars, people wearing "driving gloves" do look a bit like fops.

I did a very little racing in my day and owned a pair of Simpson driving shoes. They served the purpose—stating the obvious—and looked great. And I probably wore them once or twice outside of the racetrack. Having said that, you’ve brought up exactly why I love my GP shoes so much. They combine form and function beautifully. A shoe which not only is meant for the car but the street. And, at the risk of repetition, I get nothing whatsoever out of the sale of anything from GP…merely the satisfaction of turning a few people onto something which I love.
ADDENDUM (and to SonofGaladriel): this thread is asking about driving jackets….not shoes. My apologies for the highjack.
