Mind you, I would love to know exactly how they rocker panels were removed...The reason I ask, is that I need to wrap my plastic sills properly this time and need to remove the rocker panels to be able to access the inner screws to remove the plastic sills.
It's pretty straight forward following the Topix instructions to remove the rocker panel, BUT, I found that once all the fasteners had been removed from the car, the rocker panel just wouldn't let go...it seemed to be still fastened by the 'JAGUAR" tread plate (which I daren't take off as I believe it is glued on).
Would you be an absolute star and ask your garage how they removed them for me please...it would be much appreciated! P.M if you wish.
The original 14/15 black sills along with the black front(edge) splitters make the car IMO. Keeps the lines of the car slim, elegant with a bit of an edge. Biggest reason I don't like the MY16+. They messed with the sills by over designing them with extra creases and making them body colored which just fattens the F-Type.
This is one of the few cars where I think they nailed it the first time and now every tweak is just ruining it. The only negative is probably the bar across the front.
So nice improvement.
I actually didn't notice this at all until I start looking at pictures... I always wondered why the newer ones look slightly bloated but couldn't put my finger on it.

Certainly was the case for the F-Type. The car looks best without any side sills whatsoever. Of course, that’s just my opinion.

Definitely a hot topic. I agree that the 16+ sills make the car look unnecessarily bloated, but I do think the 14,15 sills look phenomenal to do plan to add them to my car at some point.

That's why restaurants offer menus. It'd be pretty dull if everyone liked the same thing. And yes, I could indeed live with the early sills.
If you owned the Jaguar Eagle Speedster you won't even think about silly side sills or anything else but the desire to drive it and keep looking at it. It's the only Jag built today the still looks like a Jag. This car needs nothing. The Tata Jag, like most other sports cars built today all have silly sills, a rear wing and front spoiler. Put any of these on the Eagle and it will destroy it. I wish I had $1,000,000 of disposable assets setting around to liquidate and pick one up.

I have to agree with you on the thinner sills. On MY 15 white with black sills are and amazing difference compared to the fatter sills on the 16' that are color coordinated.
The contrast still gives the appearance of no sills when in black.
Just imagine if there were NO FENDER SEEMS other than the door seems.
