"Bloated" sounds derogatory. I prefer the work "advanced" instead. Ian Callum, designer of the F-type stated that replicating the E-type is now impossible due to its inherent instability and Federal Safety Laws. Besides all those torque-vectoring, super-charging, paddle-shifting goodies take up lots of space.

I pulled up next to an F-type yesterday at a stop light and was surprised at how big it is, seemed to be almost as big as my S-type.
By far the best looking car on the road! (Of course, I'm talking about the F-type, not my S-type!).
I have (don't laugh or take pity on me!) a 1995 Miata M-edition -- it's pretty darn small, but when I'm next to an old MG it feels large. Next to the F-type I'm sure it'll feel tiny!
