Question Slow Driving with wing UP!

Today, I saw a pre-facelift F-Type R convertible... driving low speed with the rear wing deployed (UP)! How is that possible?!?! No, it was not an SVR fixed wing.

It's a typical case of someone who doesn't know that the spoiler button on the centre console is there to help you clean underneath it and to show to the police officer that it can be activated manually thus no, you were not speeding!

Yes, in the convertible you can manually raise the spoiler while driving. The coupe doesn’t allow this.

Small correction. You can raise the spoiler manually on a coupe 2018MY at least.

Yep. Up and down while driving or up while stationary with the engine on and then set off. Not saying that you should do it though.

Sorry, I'm not really familiar with the differences between UK and non-UK F-type, should have made it clear. Thanks for chiming in, @scm .

Here's how I understand it. In the U.S., the ability to raise the spoiler on the coupe while driving is disabled due to some U.S. regulation about how far back things can stick out from the rear of the vehicle. In the convertible, the spoiler does not extended past the back of the car while driving, so you can manually deploy it while driving. To me it doesn't look like the spoiler on the coupe sticks out to far, but I don't have bureaucrat in my title anywhere.
