"Smart Key not activating"
Well let me tell you another instance of these "Smart Keys" I changed the battery in both FOBS back in August. My Jag is parked in a heated garage. But the key fob is stored elsewhere where no heat can get to it during cold weather. ( And it has started to get cold here ) When I went to start the car this morning, I grabbed the cold key fob and the car did not recognize it. I placed it on the dash where it is supposed to make contact and it still did not recognize it. I then took the fob and placed it in my hands and started blowing warm air on it. Once it got warmed up, it worked. This has happened to me twice now, and both times, this trick has worked.

Bizarre timing - My fob battery died yesterday 10/11.
5 years, 6 months of use.
I went to change the battery in the backup key fob that we don't use and is kept for 'emergency use only' - Problem is, I cannot for the life of me remember where I hid it and can't find it! Doh!
