Seems like you got a pretty good deal on the Jag. I traded a 2020 bmw Z4M40 i for my 2021 Type R with 25k miles last September. The jag was priced about the same as yours except mine is a coupe. Mine is fully loaded with every option except ceramic brakes. I'm loving the car and I know you're going to love yours.
Thanks!
I am sure I will love it also.
I really enjoyed my last 3 F-Types.
Did you pull Fuse 15 yet?
I would not recommend a C8 Corvette in any form, too many issues.
I was looking at a 2018 or 2019 Aston, it was around $90K, but it was not a convertible, I did not drive it.
Porsche 911s are great, but the Jaguar is probably more fun.
Bang for the Buck a CPO Jaguar is hard to beat.
Exhaust sound and Apple Carplay are two must haves for me.
Convertible is up there also.
I also have a New GMC Canyon AT4X pickup, I needed a pickup to haul gas cans for my waverunners, I hate fueling up on the water.
I actually love driving the truck, I can't explain why, but it is a great daily driver.
Very nice sir. Black is the best look in my view but the maintenance to keep er’ looking good would kill me…lol, so black is a no go for my sensibilities ;-)
I was always sure it would be a convertible for me as well, but I couldn’t resist the coupe shape of the F-type. If I’m to fulfill my convertible dreams some day it will have to come in the form of a +1 ;-0

I have previously owned a 2014 F-Type S V8 and two 2016 F-Type V6S models.
Some of my favorite cars to drive, but the 2014 V8 had to many firecracker type bangs from the exhaust, I like loud cars, but gunshot bangs are not enjoyable.
The V6S models sounded better, but I did miss the power.
I traded my last V6 model in 2020 in on a 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S cabriolet which I still own, as soon as the CPO warranty expired on what 3" x-pipe, 100 cel cats, and a AIM performance dyno-tune making 543whp.
Porsche runs on cold unprepped streets 1.61 60', 2.61 0-60, and 6.82@102.89 Dragy verfied.
My wife loves Corvettes so I bought a 2023 Corvette Z51 Convertible and after 6 months the transmission died and GM bought the car back.
Then we bought a 2024 Z06 Convertible and in a year I put just about 7k miles on it.
However, since day one it was throwing CELS, nuisance codes, but after my 1st experience I was a little worried.
GM finally came out with a software fix and I had it done and no problems since, but I am done with the new Corvettes.
I contacted my lawyer and GM agreed to give me a nice sum of money to keep the car.
I accepted the offer, but sold the car that day for over $100K.
Right away I started looking for a replacement car..
I looked at Mercedes AMG GT, but that is not a convertible and expensive.
I looked a Mercedes SL63 AMG, beautiful car, but not a sports car and expensive.
I started thinking about my Jaguars and how much I liked them and what a bargain they are used.
I found a fairly Local Dealer (1&1/2 hour drive) with a CPO 2021 Jaguar F-Type R convertible with 21K miles.
Went there yesterday with my wife, we both test drove it and we loved it, a little too quiet for me under 3500 rpms, but I know where Fuse 15 is, lol.
I do like the fact that those gun shot bangs out the exhaust are not there anymore with the valves open, sounds much better.
Great deal, I walked out the door after tax and tags and cut them a check for $70K which includes a CPO warranty until 1/31/2028.
Purchase price of car was just under $65K.
They are prepping the car and are going to trailer deliver it to me next week.
I can't wait to get the car.
Most people will say the Z06 sounds better because it revs to 8600rpms, but it sounds fake, I can't explain it.
I think the F-Type sounds way better.
The Porsche is my ultimate dream car, but it does not sound nearly as good as the Jag.
I can somewhat relate on your transition, I moved from a 2019 ZL1 6MT to the 2023 F type R. Though the ZL1 is more a comparison back to the C7, I thought I would chime in. My story differs from yours though in that my ZL1 was flawless. In the time I had the car I had zero issues, nor did I hear about any of the serious troubles you describe with the C8 from the Camaro community. I made my change because although the ZL1 was everything I wanted when I bought it, it was too raw for my wife, and I wanted the refinement and comfort the F Type brought. The ZL1 is a car I would recommend to anyone that likes to drive, to drive! But the F Type for me had to happen.
Like you, at the time when I was purchasing the F Type, I was also looking hard at Porsche. I had worked out a deal on a new 992 Targa. Both the Jag dealer and the Porsche dealers in Burlington wanted my ZL1 and the trade value was great, but I chose to purchase the Jag because it was in stock and I was looking at a year before the Porsche would be delivered. Also fueling my move to the F Type - was Jags announcement at the time to kill it. I had always loved and wanted A jag V8 coupe or convertible. I really thought it was my last chance to do this with an ICE V8 motor. Haven’t looked back and am glad with the choice I made. In due time there will be a 911 in my garage as well. These things have a way of fitting into place.

I had quite a few C7 Vettes including a 2018 Z06 Convertible, all were great with no issues.
I have also owned many C4, C5, and C6 Corvettes.
The C8 Corvettes are the problem.
As for 911s, great cars, but unless you get a GT3, nowhere near the sound of the F-Type.
I get to drive all sorts of uber high end cars. I've driven a McLaren F1, Enzo, La Ferrari + FXXK, and so many others from Porsche, Mercedes and BMW I can't remember them all.
One thing that keeps popping up is the 'numb' factor. If a 'supercar' drives like a Chevy Malibu rental car, with electronic nannies intruding all the time, and many of them do, I won't like it. Sure, they all are stupidly fast and shove you in the seat, that's expected.
I brought up the Enzo v McLaren F1. Both are 650HP (about), but they are no match for each other. The Ferrari has numb throttle by wire, and won't give the driver what he wants. It is annoying. The McLaren barks and rips away from the Enzo, leaving two black streaks on the road. Brakes instantly and hard, then darts into the next corner doing exactly what the driver asked. One is a noisy Malibu with uncomfortable seats. The other a fire breathing hyper responsive monster that needs to be tamed.
The F-Type is fun, really fun. It's no Malibu. It is instantly responsive, fast, with sharp turn in and great brake feel. There is nothing numb about it.

I am taking mine on a 150 mile round trip today, it should give me a good idea how fun it is.
My previous 2016 V6S F-Type was amazing, sounded GREAT, but needed more power.
My 2014 V8S had the power and was loud enough, but the gunshots out of the exhaust were a bit too much.
I am hoping the 2021 F-Type R is the perfect balance between the two.
The exhaust is a lot quieter than both my other ones even with Fuse 15 pulled, but it should be loud enough to keep me happy especially without the gunshots.
Long drive last week and saw a 992 Turbo. It was in the left lane pushing way too close to others on a 4 lane highway with all of the pack doing a brisk pace....he pushed me out of the left lane (aggressive and likely frustrated in that his car was not moving faster than the 12yo hyundai with parts falling off of it). I sort of had to laugh at the reality....you simply cannot drive these cars most of the time anywhere near even 5/10ths. I very much loved the idea of the z06....but the reality is likely like this 992 turbo's....with a bad transmission apparently.
F types have drama other cars lack at under 150mph now....which is just silly. The Jaguar engineers do not get the credit they deserve for the F-type...it is a fast car that is fun slow...the rarest of all traits.

I drove about 150 miles today in my 2021 F-Type R with Fuse 15 pulled.
It was the most fun drive I have had in years, more fun than my Z06 and yes, more fun than my modified 911 Turbo S.
Sure, my 911 will waste my Jaguar, but nothing sounds like the Jaguar.
Plus, my wife doesn't get nauseous from the Jaguar's linear supercharged acceleration, with the 911 once the Turbos start spooling and planting her back in the seat she starts getting queasy.
The Jaguar is the perfect amount of power for fun on the street.
I own a 2016 F Type R convertible, and I'm not familiar with the "fuse 15" issue. Could you please explain the significance?. Bearly
Don't think you need it, it is something to overcome some of the sound neutering they did in the later face-lift cars. You just press dynamic and you get all the giggles.

You don't need to do that, your car is plenty loud as is.
I had a 2014 V8S, it was so loud, like yours.
The new ones are silent until 3500rpms unless you pull Fuse 15.
I could "Bearly" hear mine until I pulled fuse 15, lol

Also a 2016 Type R owner.
It's not an 'issue', but you can pull fuse 15 to disable the active exhaust flaps, then just push them open with a stick. They will then stay open all the time.
