SOS Complete Functionality Not Available
Since I took delivery of my F Type, I have had this message on my dash that never goes away. After clearing the message the yellow triangle appears and never goes away. Every time that I start the car up, I get the message, clear it, triangle, etc. I had this car shipped from Florida as there weren't many 2018 F Types available in the Northeast and I didn't want to wait for the 2019's. The Florida dealer gave me a bunch of excuses after I took delivery. They first told me , once they sent an encore specialist to set the car up, it would go away. After he came and set the car up and it didn't clear, I was told that it would go away after I drove it for awhile..
It is at my local Jaguar dealer and has been since Thursday. They can't figure it out and apparently are talking with Jaguar. There have been so many documented cases on this with Jaguars and Range Rovers, that I can't believe it is an issue. and they can't resolve it quickly. I have even mentioned some of my findings including the telematic module. I didn't think when I took my car in Thursday morning, it would be tied up for days. Anyone else have this issue? Hoping I get my car back on Monday!

I haven't experienced your problem, hope the following may provide assistance:
My understanding is SOS functionality is comprised of two systems: manual call and automatic call
Manual operates when driver presses and releases the overhead cover (illuminated red), then pressed the sos call button for two seconds, this will initiate a phone call to emergency response centre to allow driver to request emergency response.
The sos call button will flash amber when it has been activated. The response centre will also receive gps location of the vehicle.
Automatic SOS will summon emergency response without driver activation, it's triggered by vehicle sensors that indicate an emergency such as vehicle roll over, air bag deployment etc and will also send gps location information.

Exact same issue happened to me in my 16 R Coupe and a couple of other form members (if you search).
The issue was a bad Telematics module that was replaced under warranty.
If your battery has been disconnected and reconnected it could have surged and shorted out the module.

Thanks, I did do some research, and in fact mentioned to the service department ,that the telematics module replacement seemed to be coming up as the fix. I will reach out to them on Monday again.
Well, that is what the Jaguar dealership in Florida called him. They flew someone from their dealership in Florida to the Northeast,, a couple of weeks after my car was delivered. He showed me all the features of the car as well as setting some things up for me. It was exactly what your salesman would normally do at your local dealership after taking delivery on a vehicle.

I just received a text message that stated that they found the problem. Evidently the battery for the TC module is dead. They will have the new battery tomorrow. I guess the TC module is the telematic control module that a lot of people were stating was the most common problem for getting that message on the dash. I can't wait to get my car back!!
Same thing happened to me. I took my jaguar xe from new jersey, my daughter pressed the sos button accidentally and now everytime i start up my car it appears a message sos system not available, after i clear it the orange triangle remains there all the time. Did anyone solve this problem before.
Thanks
