Trac Control not available, ABS not Available, Transmission Fault, Incorrect part fit
I thought it might be the battery a while back so i swapped it out with a fresh Optima Yellow top (deep cycle) but i got the message a few days later. However my issue seems different than other peoples because i only get this sometimes when i go to start the car and i never get it during driving. When i turn the key the engine doesnt turn and the start never makes contact but the RPMs revs to around 1000 and back down, it beeps and flashes these messages Trac Control not available, ABS not Available, Transmission Fault, Incorrect part fitted. Most of the time all i can do is remove the negative terminal on the battery wait a minute and most of the time it starts. However yesterday it didnt start and it made me wait much longer (30 minutes). I have no idea what it could be.

This sounds too complicated for me. Do you have a code reader? One thing I can think of is ground and power connections. There are several connections that have caused problems for others due to corrosion. Try turning the headlights on and then hit the starter. If the headlights go dim it would indicate a connection problem.

Could be cylinder wash too, though I don't know if the tach registers as it 'spins'.
Discharge all capacitors by touching the negative cable that you remove from the battery to the positive terminal. Then try a new start. If it feels like its just spinning freely not even remotely close to catching, read up on the cylinder wash condition and how to get your car started in the FAQ at the top of this xk8-xkr subforum. Its either crank and crank for a cycle at a time w/ the fuel cutoff, or putting some oil in each cylinder by removing the spark plug. More details in the FAQ, read on.
Sometimes on a new battery install, computers get a little confused, and you need to reboot'em so-to-speak. Leaving the negative terminal may not allow enough time to discharge the remaining energy in the ECM, BPM, and other modules.
