Default Spacer temp

Anyone have any idea what temps wheel spacers should be able to handle?
I have CCBs if that matters...

Wheel spacers shouldn't get anywhere near as hot as the brake rotors and pads, if they do there is something wrong.
AFAIK pretty much all spacers are made from high grade aloooooominum alloy and I have never heard of anyone having a problem with spacers getting too hot.

Lumium melts at 1221 degF. Brake accordingly.

Ceramic brakes do not heat up anymore than steel breaks. They just don’t fade as much at high temps.

Yes to all the above.
Considering the CCBs on race day can hit 1000 degF, wondering if the spacers get anywhere near that.
I'm testing a few things ………...

Can someone with an IR thermometer point it at your wheel spacers after some hard braking?
I assume the fronts will read hotter than the rears …..
Thanks in advance.

If you ever took oxy torch to it, aluminum goes very liquid very rapidly. All of it. Nothing like steel.

If an aluminum spacer would melt, so would your rim. I think you'd be burning the seals on your wheel bearings and setting fire to the grease long before that. The street luge folks call that a "flame out." It's probably more dramatic when the flaming bearings are a foot from your head.

Thanks.
I'm not worried about things melting or vaporizing. I simply need to know how hot they get under hard braking....

This is only a guess but I wouldnt have thought any hotter than the hub itself, as there is no friction on the spacer and they arent in contact with the rotor. But I was concerned when I opened the box on the H & R spacers I had ordered and it said that they arent to be used if the car is tracked - not that I track my car but I inferred that it might create some issue having them on.

I suspect that any issues from a spacer would be altered loading on the suspension, and that they're covering themselves against liability in cases of "severe service."
