I have a system for my 2000 XK8 Coupe that allows setting alarms for configurable thresholds on various ODBII readings.

I've had two coolant related fixes recently, water pump and leaking thermostat housing, and decided I needed to monitor the coolant temp more carefully than I have been while testing coolant-related fixes.

So my question is, what temperature should I set an alarm at?

Bonus question: are there any other readings I should set alarms for?

I have never seen a temp. over 210 deg. so I set the alarm to 220.

 

Highest I have seen was 215 on a very hot Arizona day while stopped in traffic.

100F outside while stuck in traffic. The blue cat hit 215F. Fans went on high speed immediately.
