Smile speed/safety camera alerts ?

Hi guys,

I pick up a 2013 f-type V6S tomorrow! can't wait.

I've been downloading the manuals and reading them, etc so I'm not lost driving it home (200 mile trip), and I've just got the one question for now:

- does the satnav have speed camera alert capability ? I can't find it in the manual ? And if it doesn't can it be added/hacked onto it ?

Congratulations on your purchase. Your face will be sore from all the grinning you are going to do on your drive home.

Aside suggestion - since this is used car, treat it as if previous owner was an idiot and didn't maintain it. Change all fluids, filters and so on. This way you can establish known-good date for all maintenance items and go from there.

thanks.

it was a dealer purchase (full jag service history) - and main jag dealer serviced yesterday and new MOT.

Drove 200 miles home today in it (though motorway/M25 miles so not exactly a pleasure).

Wow I love it already though. the exhaust is awesome. I love the spluttering and burbling coming off the accelerator in dynamic manual mode.

SO far I've not found anything that doesn't work other than the dial illumination switch (see other posting).

Download the "Waze" app on your smartphone. It's fabulous for speed cameras and the like in the US, and I know it's also widely used in the UK, particularly in metro London.
