Speed sensitive volume??
I have a 2018 f type r I bought new just a couple of weeks ago. It was a leftover demo that had 1000 miles on the odo. Love the car.
One thing I’ve noticed is that when I slow down and come to a stop the radio volume doesn’t change. In my other cars (2017 Grand Sport, 2014 ATS and 2014 Ram 1500) there is speed sensitive volume that adjusts volume to the speed and cabin noise.
Ive searched the manual and screen menus and can’t find it on the Jag. Maybe that’s because it’s not there??? Anyone know for sure? Thanks.

From my reading and experience the F-Type has never had speed sensitive sound system volume.
But it does have park assist sensitive volume, when the park assist starts beeping the sound system volume goes way down.

It does not but I sure wish it did. A great minor gripe of mine!
No such setting on my MY2015 with the 770 Meridian system.

Thanks for all of the responses. I’ve come to the conclusion that my car, with the 770 W Meridian does NOT have it, which I find kinda unbelievable. I can’t remember the last vehicle I’ve owned that didn’t, and I’ve owned a lot. Even my last work truck, a 2007 dodge 2500 had it. The f type is a great car overall but they really dropped the ball on this one IMHO. Makes the car seem low tech. Every time I slow down and speed up I have to adjust the volume.

But I agree, some kind of automatic volume control would be nice.
Pity the owners who use the ECO Stop/Start. The ambient noise REALLY drops when it is engaged.

Reviving this thread. Based on reading folks posts it sounds like the 380W might have it while the 770W doesn't? I recently picked up a 2020 convertible with 770W and I'm really missing the speed sensitive audio volume. I think particularly on the convertible, both wind and tire noise goes up quite a bit at highway speeds and I'm finding myself constantly adjusting volume between city and highway driving. Since it looks like at least some of the 380W systems had it, is this something we could have enabled by dealer tools?
My only speed-sensitive volume is the pedal on the right (and, all I really need).
As mentioned, I do get a difference when the top is raised/lowered. It seems as though that would be more esoteric than just speed sensitivity.

Weird, so they removed it in newer systems. Does it work well for you?
"pedal on the right" is cute but not helpful. Yes the car has a great exhaust tone, we all know that. It's also a high end luxury tourer and I'd like to listen to something more mentally stimulating than the exhaust if I'm on a 4 hour drive.
Also odd that top down vs up would change. How often do you put the top up or down in a drive vs how often you speed up and slow down?

It does work well, though initially set to high and it was too dramatic of a change, so switched to Mid and it is just about perfect.
Jaguar did include a volume increase in the verts for when the top goes down. There's an old thread somewhere on here referencing it.

Its worth noting that you need to set the sound system parameters when the top is in each position.
EG, setting up bass, treble, fade, balance etc with the top up won't change the settings when the top is down.
Having said that, we can probably expect more posts now, regards buzzing interior panels from the sound system...
