Default Spoiler question

Hi everyone. Quick question. Just bought a 2015 ftype s. I notice on my spoiler, it does not say Jaguar, just the cat?? Everyone Ive seen says Jaguar on it, not mine. In the owners manual there is the metal letters to spell out Jaguar, but thats it! Cheers! Jimmy

Maybe the previous owner debadged the letters?

I debadged mine...I prefer just the leaping leopard on the rear.

+1 Letters are gaudy. Plus they might as well be bonded with scotch tape from the factory.

The 'J' on my spoiler fell off within a month of owning the car. I debadged it. Much cleaner.

If Jag can make aluminum rust, they can make plastic rust too.

I had to remount my J. The adhesive softened in the hot sun and the corner got caught in the wash mitt and popped off. I cleaned out the old adhesive on the J and on the car with goof off. Then I stuck double sided 3M tape to the bottom of the J. Put it on a cutting board and trimmed the excess tape away with an X-acto knife. Then peeled off the backing and stuck it back on. I had marked the exact position with masking tape. Then I waxed the area. Better than new.

+1. I debadged everything on the back except for the leaper and the S badge. All the other lettering is just too busy and Jag hasn't paid me anything to advertise their marque.

Always felt the same about dealer badges. Luckily most better dealers don't use them. Would never take any car with them. I also replace license frame right away.
