Default Start up rattle

Hi all. On start up, while tickover revs are raised, my V6 S has an annoying rattle from the back, underneath. Could be a loose exhaust bracket, loose baffles? Anyone else had this and found out what it was?

It could be what you described, but you can quickly check to see if the exhaust may be touching the cross supports at mid-pipe or rear...They are very close anyway...Worth a look. Examples below on a AWD R...Others are similar.

Or any number of the heat shields touching..

Could be anything you mention.

Have a shop get it on a lift, and check around.

Ours had a intermittent rattle from the FRONT...bent heat shield from when the O2 sensors were replaced by the P.O.

The active exhaust vacuum pump is behind the left rear wheel, and mine sounds like a buzzing heat shield when it runs. One reason I remove F43…
