Default Steering wheel buttons worn to white plastic

Yesterday I acquired 2014 V8S looks great apart from the steering wheel buttons have worn away to the white plastic beneath the black paint. I suspect this was part of removing the sticky stuff - how easy are they to change? Has anyone tried the stick on aluminium covers from eBay / Amazon? does anyone know the part numbers, cost and availability of the units from JLR?

I sourced parts from Harper Jaguar. They were considerably cheaper than my local JLR dealer. Airbag has to come off, so I had dealer do it. 3 hrs labor.

I noticed someone selling an SVR steering wheel on here with what appear to be good buttons - is it an easy swap?

Did you buy it from Austin Jaguar dealer?

Just bite the bullet and buy the plastic steering wheel surround bits and new buttons and have them installed. You'll permanently fix the problem and will be able to fully enjoy your new ride. I've had my V8s for 8 years and the only problem/complaint I've had with it is the sticky interior bits.

It's not hard to replace them, even with the airbag. I replaced the upper and lower trim, but not the buttons. It's not worth 3 hours labor that's for sure.
