Default Steering Wheel Control - Loose Wire

Hi All!
New to the F-Type life, I bought a 2015 f-type base recently. I was cleaning the interior of the... sticky buttons, specifically the steering wheel buttons (cruise control and such). Later that day I went for a drive and I had several messages pop up on me:
Manual shift disabled
Cruise control disabled
ASL disabled

I have since taken the switch packs out and the right side (cruise control) board was corroded (first photo) so I cleaned it with 91% iso alcohol. The left side however had a wire not even in the connector?! Does anyone know which pin this should (appears to be 2 choices) go to or if it is meant to not be plugged in? (second photo)

Thanks!!

With all those water stains (whitish stains) on the PCB I would look at getting a used set off EBay to replace them. Not sure how/why the water got to those boards either? They are not in an area that is easy to spill anything into?
Do you have the electrical diagrams for the car? I only have the XJ versions and not sure they are the same?

I think the wire goes to pin #6... it however did not help anything. Ordered the right-side steering wheel switch pack... I'll come back in a week or so when I receive it.
