The Motor Trend Car of the Year runoff had the F-Type at 3.4 sec 0-60 mph time and a 1/4 mile ET at 11.6. It was just about equal to to the Viper. The F-Type R should be a real beast if the the V8S is already equal to the Viper and beats the base Corvette rather handily.

A stock 2013 Viper ran the 1/4 mi in 10.97 sec at 127.94 mph three days ago, which as times go makes them not even close. But still, that's a very good time for the F-Type.

Correct. It's taken a bit of time (and a lot of passes) but folks are starting to nail the technique of launching the Gen V Viper at a drag strip. Previous Vipers were not easy to launch and that was without the traction control system interfering so with that on the new Viper, it's made them even more difficult and, as you all know, the launch is everything when it comes to getting a good timeslip.

The F-Type's numbers are damned impressive though considering it has 145 less HP than the Viper, a lot less TQ and weighs more. I'm curious to see what the F-Type R will do or what one of the F-Types with the tuning package will do.
