Default Sudden 'Ticking' Noise from Sterring tilt mechanism

Hi all, its been a while since I have posted here, my car has been flawless and I love it.

However, yesterday after parking and opening the door the auto tilt up of the steering wheel is making a ticking noise. This is new and so I am concerned it might be a sign of impending failure. Has anyone else experienced problem with the power tilt function? Bad motor perhaps? If so what did you need to do to fix it?

Any comments will be much appreciated.

Be proactive,

Remove the steering column covers and observe what is happening as the motor is operated.

Might just require a drop of oil of coating of grease...

If you can't figure it out, take a video before you button it back up, and either post it here, or a link to YouTube or your fave online site.

There are other Topics here about steering noise, look in RELATED TOPICS at the bottom. None are for an X152, BUT they might provide a clue.
