Default Supercharger Coupler Issues - v6 vs v8?

I purchased my F Type (2016 R) last summer, so I am fairly new to the forums. I have seen several posts referring to issues with noisy supercharger drive couplers, but it seems to be limited to the v6. Is this correct? Is there a difference in the design of the coupler for the v8 vs v6 that limits the issue to the v6, or does the same issue exist with the v8 and I just haven't seen the posts? I am considering the VAP upper pulley upgrade and researching whether or not I should consider changing the drive coupler at the same time.

AFAIK no difference, same coupler and same problem with both the V6 and V8.

A few things to note:

1. Supercharger does not need to be removed to swap it’s pulley

2. Nonetheless, if you’re going to keep the car id argue the most important replacement that should be done is the y pipe, which requires removal of the SC.

3. Once the sc is removed, you can check the snout for play when rotating it. If there is play it needs to be replaced. Just hope it didn’t damage thing else.

4. Replace the sc oil, examine rotors etc. if you plan to keep the car, it may be worth sending sc to be rebuilt.
