Default Surprisingly sure-footed in the rain

We had some pretty heavy - and very much needed - rain here in our part of the Bay Area this morning. Now 460ft/lb of torque from low RPM, wide summer performance tires and slippery roads don't necessarily make for the happiest of bedfellows, and I nearly took one of my SUVs, but I have to say I was really impressed with how the car handled and how well the rain/snow/ice mode modulated the power delivery. You can spin the wheels if you accelerate hard while already driving at speed in this car, but the rain mode did its job very well. I know this is no surprise to many of you, but here in the Bay Area heavy rain may as well be snow - there are always a ton of accidents any time we get a downpour.

We have snow and ice here in Texas today. I am glad to say the snow function works very well. Makes it much easier to drive than the last few cars I have had.
