Default SVR Exhaust Tiny Rust Patch

Why is there a tiny bit of what looks like rust on my titanium exhaust? Isn't it pretty close to impossible for titanium to rust? Or is it just cooked road tar? Any tips to remove it?

I doubt the titanium is rusting. I think something got on the titanium that is rusting. Chrome polish or metal polish should get rid of it.

No worries. Titanium can oxidize, but it doesn't rust. I agree you should be able to just clean it off and forget about it.

Thanks, is there a suggested chemical cleaner? I feel like an abrasive would change the look of the finish. Not a huge s deal with such a tiny spot but I'm curious for the future.

If it is actually rust, i.e. iron oxide, then something like Sonax wheel cleaner should take care of it. I do NOT know what Sonax would do to titanium though. I expect nothing. Maybe dab a little there with a cotton swab and see if it turns purple? That would clearly indicate iron, so would be something on the surface and not actually part of the pipe.
