Default R / V8S / SVR: anyone done custom tips yet?

Anyone done custom exhaust tips to their R, V8S, or SVR yet? I like the capristo tips, wondering if anyones changed them out.

Are you referring to changing to a Capristo exhaust system or just tips? Can you get just tips?

Just the tips. Im happy with the factory valve control exhaust. Just looking for something more aesthetically pleasing out the rear.

Didn't see them being sold separately on the Capristo site.

Plenty of bolt-on CF tips albeit cheapish Chinese ones on Fleabay, see here: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...ps&_sacat=6000
Obviously the dual tips are no good as they are Y pieces and the R has four separate tips, but four singles might do the trick, for example this listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Real-Carbon...hZ6Gx0&vxp=mtr
However there could be a problem with fitting the inner tips, as obviously the stock tips would need to be cut off and there isn't much pipe to play with on the inner tips. But a decent exhaust shop could easily work it out, probably by welding a small sleeve in place.

Didn't find a lot, but this is the one I remember. Try an advanced search, limiting it to 'exhaust tips' in the thread title. Otherwise, you get just about every thread.

Most people aren’t messing with them because of how awkward the rear tips are mounted. If you look under the car you’ll see that the inner tips are shaped differently than the outer tips due to how the pipes are positioned coming from the muffler. If that makes sense..

With that being said, I have seen someone running the CF Akrapovic tips on a factory muffler but it was just from a random search on the web one night so I don’t have any pictures of details.

With it up on the lift, its just a spot weld holding them on. i would think this is an easy mod just need to find some tips that fit the plumbing and the hole.

I e-mailed Capristo about the exhaust tips (inquiry to buy them separately) but no response. I agree they're awesome - I'm after the look but the stock exhaust is loud enough for me.
