Today I ordered a 2016 F Type R AWD
Definitely a 2015 model year: http://www.vincheckpro.com/vinreport
JLR was indeed not accepting orders past a certain date in 2014, but for production into 2015.

Yes, but probably just a simple mistake, since the car was available for sale fairly early in 2013 in some places, and the first-year VINs were all "E." However, all first-year F-Types were designated 2014s by JLR.
Canadian pricing was out Feb 13.
I called Jaguar North America on Friday and asked what happens when my car arrives and pricing hasn't been announced yet. They told me "that's a very good question" and after a few moments on hold tried to assure me pricing would be announced before I recieved my car. I don't understand what the hold up is, as the thing has to have a window sticker in it on the boat... Maybe they just forgot? Haha
What logical reason could there be to continue the delay of a pricing announcement?

They're lots of F type sitting on dealer lots, some new ones even from 2014. I bet Jaguar is waiting till the last minute till these cars actually show up in dealerships before they announce pricing on the 2016's.
I was at a dealer this past weekend who took delivery last week of new 2015's and they aren't even mentioning to customers that 2016's are expected in a few months.

+1.
Spoke to Jaguar USA this morning and they said they are not expecting pricing for at least a few weeks. I asked how that is going to impact the cars on their way to the US now and they said to be honest, we're not sure. They did say they didn't expect the price increase for 2016 to be more than a "couple thousand dollars".

I sure hope this doesn't mean that the cars already en route will be held at VPC until USA pricing is finalized!! If dealer inventory levels are a concern, JLA should be able to release the cars that have been sold.

That doesn't sound too bad in comparison to the 1544 13-15 new 911s cars.com has listed as sitting on dealer lots.
My dealer told me that it would be about $3000 - $4000 increase over RWD. Given that glass roof was charged $1200 and powered tail gate was another $750 and InControl apps were $400, looks like AWD is for approx $1000 in 2016!
Well, they do build 35,000 of those every year, so it's actually a much lower percentage. 3K, out of 105K cars ain't bad at all!
